  • Summary Christine Faulds was trying to get a late-night workout session in but whilst using an inversion table she trapped herself in an upside-down state meaning she had to call the police to free her. Around 3am on August 29th, Christine was preparing to use the pivoting table by strapping in her feet and leaning backwards to begin the exercise at the Powerhouse Gym in Berea, Ohio. But she forgot the strap that prevented full inversion and as soon as the balance was off, Christine was left with her feet above her head and completely powerless to get the right-side-up without some assistance. As it was so late, there were no other people in the gym and her friend was in the other room lifting weights and unaware of the position that Christine was in. She accepted the situation and called the emergency services as blood was quickly rushing to her head so with the use of her watch, Christine called the 9-1-1 and hesitantly explained the problem to the operator. A car was dispatched whilst the pet carer, Christine, hanged helplessly for 12 minutes until they arrived. The police were professional in their help but could not help and chuckle at the amusing situation but made sure that Christine was in a healthy state. Christine uploaded the video to TikTok where the video has garnered over 8 million views. Christine said: "When I first realised I was stuck, I just hung there contemplating my life and trying not to panic. "I thought about how if I can't get someone's attention, this machine is in the very back corner of a room in the gym and it could be a couple of hours before someone sees me during the morning gym rush. "Then I just kept thinking that I had to focus on the pain of my ankles and to make sure I didn't pass out before I decided to call 9-1-1. "Alot of people asked me why I would share this embarrassing video and I honestly thought it would just give a few followers a good laugh to start off their week, and had no idea it would go viral like it did. "I also want to encourage people that sometimes you have to laugh at yourself and survive another day!" ENDS
