- Title Professional Job Quitter Reveals The Shocking Reason Why She Left Her Job
- Summary This woman posted a video to TikTok advocating for fair pay and for people to stand up for themselves when being treated unfairly by companies. Clinical mental health counsellor, 27-year-old Kenzie Deloache, from Searcy, Arkansas, decided to film herself ranting about the exploitation of workers by companies when they stand up for themselves, which resonated with many online users. The single mother explained she clearly stated her availability to her work is 9am to 5pm as she has children that are in education. However, a meeting was scheduled an hour away from her, which would cost her $20 in fuel to get to, and Kenzie explained she would only be able to make the last 30 minutes of the meeting, resulting in her only getting paid $8 . Kenzie let them know this was an issue as it was out of her working hours and wasn't financially logical, so asked if they could offer Zoom option, to which they answered no. She then resigned promptly after this encounter and met a frosty response as people from her work were shocked by her 'audacity'. Kenzie said: "I'm so proud of all the people who have gotten better pay or working conditions partly because of my little car rant. "I have hope that we can all stand together as a society and as working class, to get better conditions. We are not born to work and die." The clip gathered 700k views on TikTok.
