- Title Robber Crab Snaps Golf Club in Half
- Summary Paul Buhner and his buddies were enjoying a round of golf until this coconut crab had other ideas and latched onto a golf club until it snapped the shaft in half. The crustacean on the course was spotted on Christmas Island, Australia in October 23rd, 2020, where it became closely acquainted with a golfer's clubs and bag. 47 year old business owner, Paul noticed the 'Robber' crab clutching onto a driver that belonged to his friend, Al, who then tried for the next few minutes to pry the creature away. The crab's vice-like grip would not budge and seemed to increase in pressure whilst Paul was laughing at the misfortune. The tightness of the claw grew until a snap was heard which led to the failure of the shaft's structure and ultimately broke the club in half. The clip that was originally captured in 2020, recently went viral after it had been reposted on Reddit and by Paul's son on TikTok. Paul said: "The crab snapped theshaft of Al's driver. "It also damaged the shaft of another club and took chunks out of the head cover. "This was one of those very funny moments, where you thank god it didn't happen to you. "Al certainly didn't see the funny side of it." ENDS
