- Summary This is nature's washing up liquid and bubble blower with a snap of a leaf stem providing the ultimate childhood throwback. Peta Wheatley was introduced to the Jatropha Curcas plant whilst on her trip to a small Fijian village in January as a local guide reach and grabbed a leaf from a branch. When the guide had the leaf in his hand, he broke the stem without tearing it into two pieces allowing an opening to emerge. The sap inside the leaf is made up of 40% oil which produces a sticky liquid similar to the film that is formed when dipping a bubble blower in dishwasher soap. Then when he blew through the gap, dozens of bubbles flew out into the air in what looked like a magic trick. Peta said: "We were amazed! "We thought he was going to eat the sap, like it was sweet or sour. "The bubbles made me feel like a child again and extremely happy." ENDS
