- Title Little Girl Denied Hugs With Winnie The Pooh At Disneyland Due To COVID Restrictions
- Summary A mother has shared a heartbreaking video of her daughter being denied a hug from one of her favourite Disney characters due to COVID-19 restrictions. Mum, Dani Reeves can be heard off-camera trying to stop her daughter, four-year-old Lennon, as she ran towards the cuddly-looking character, Winnie The Pooh, during their trip to Disneyland in California on February 20th. But due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place across the park, close contact is not permitted with cast members which provoked an assistant to thwart little Lennon's effort for a big embrace from the character. Dani apologised for the innocent mistake and as Pooh and the Disneyland employee walked off, Lennon blew a kiss whilst Pooh gestured that they would've liked to have hugged. Dani said: "I'm quite shocked I had captured that moment, although I was taking videos of just about everything, especially in the Pooh area because he is one of our favourites." "We had many interactions with the other characters before, and there was never a problem, but this was the first time she noticed them walking around in 'the wild'. "As usual, I got excited for her to see a character as they are not interacting as much due to covid restrictions. "It was a bit awkward moment, but we moved on and tried to cheer her up with ice cream and other types of Disneyland magic. "Hopefully, one day, she will get that hug from Pooh Bear!" ENDS
