- Summary After a woman heard what sounded like the harsh rattle of a jackhammer, she was surprised to find it was a northern flicker rapidly drumming a satellite dish. On March 30th, Shayna Archer was arriving at home when their daughter notified them that their dogs were going crazy at something at their home in Merrit, Canada. Upon arrival, Shayna discovered that there was a bird atop a satellite dish above their home that were doing calls and intermittently pecking at the satellite dish. Fascinated by the spectacle, Shayna decided to record what was happening.
