• Title One-In-A-Million Chance: Golf Ball Strikes Plane Wing During Landing
• Summary Whilst landing a plane, a golf ball managed to strike the wing, shocking the passengers and damaging the aircraft. Footage of the unique incident was captured by Faith Irving, on September 28th, 2023, in Saint Simons Island, Georgia, United States. Faith, in the backseat of the plane, captured the moment the golf ball headed directly in front of their windscreen. Having to land quickly, they were able to assess the damage to the plane. The golf ball managed to strike the wing, leaving a harsh dent in the side. Unable to fly home for their onwards journey, they had to rent a car to finish their trip. A golf course is beside the landing strip; however, Faith confirmed that it was closed for re-sodding, adding to the confusion.
