- Summary After an area of Australia saw a mass amount of rain overnight, a usually tranquil waterfall turned into a furious flood. On March 13th, Richard Gilmore was visiting Barron Falls in Cairns the day after they experienced over 200mm of rain during a storm. Richard filmed the waterfalls inside the national park, which would usually be a calming atmosphere, but this day was far from it. The heavy rainfall transformed the waterfall into crashing white torrents, as floodwaters surged over the edge and poured down the rock faces.
