- Title Fake Money Prank Goes Wrong as Woman Calls Police After Claiming Money Is Hers
- Summary Two friends dealt with the police after they attempted to test people’s honesty when they dropped envelopes of prop money in a TikTok that amassed over 27 million views. On October 18th, Lincoln Duyen and his friend walked around a Walmart in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, dropping fake money in an envelope and asking strangers if they had dropped it. Initially, when Lincoln’s friend asked the woman if she had dropped the envelope of money, she advised that she had heard it fall and that her husband had been to the bank so the money could be hers. The group called a mager over to help them litigate the situation and recommended that the two people who initially noticed the money should split the cash between them. The woman was then able to get her husband on the phone and asked him about the money he drew out at the bank, but was unable to confirm the amount to see if it matched the money in the envelope. She then proceeded to call the police and stated that the money fell out of her purse, and Lincoln’s friend picked the money up and refused to return it. When police arrived, they suggested that the woman and Lincoln’s friend split the money down the middle.
