• Title Bird Feather Magically Shifts Colours When Moved Through Air
• Summary This feather changed from bright blue to black when a man lifted it into the air. While at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, Ana del Valle visited the African Aviary in the Animal Kingdom on February 7th. Ana met Stephen, who had a feather of a Great Blue Turaco, which resided in the aviary. Stephen held the feather out, which appeared to be a bright blue colour, until he raised it upside down, and the feather then looked a dark black colour. Blue pigment technically does not exist in the feathers of birds, the blue hue only appears as a result of the light reflection.
