- Title Thoughtful Four-Year-Old Boy Gifts Drawing to Monks on Peace Walk
- Summary When this boy heard that the monks were going to walk through the town, he sweetly prepared a present, in a TikTok that amassed over 8 million views. Beth Jackson’s four-year-old son, named Paxton, spent the entire day excitedly colouring a picture to give to the monks, learning how to bow, and how to hand over the gift properly on December 28th. Just in case, Beth had prepared Paxton that the monks may not take the drawing, as she knew they didn’t have time to stop for everybody. Thankfully, when Beth and Paxton were waiting outside in Hogansville, Georgia, the monks noticed them. The monks were taking part in a 2,000-mile "Walk for Peace" trip. They took the picture and were grateful for the gift, waving and thanking the boy as they walked past. Beth said, “He did so well and was beyond excited to present his offering as a Thank You for the discipline and sacrifice that these Buddhist Monks are making not only today but every day in the name of peace.” The monks were in the process of completing a 15-week walk, which lasted 108 days, from Texas to Washington in order to promote mindfulness and compassion.
