• Summary After spotting a large raccoon climbing into their trash bin, a brave husband tried to usher it away, only for the startled scavenger to leap straight at him. During a work from home day in Hamilton, Ontario, on February 5th, Kathryn McCormick and her husband spotted a large raccoon entering their bin. The husband went outside and approached the bin with a shovel in hand so he could keep a good distance away. Whilst Kathryn narrated the scene, her husband comically looked at the camera and counted down from three before hitting the bin with the shovel. Within a split second, the raccoon leapt from the trash towards the man before scarpering through the snow and away from the house. The cheeky animal was then spotted trying to re-enter, however, the couple had weighted down the lid so it was unable to get in.
