- Title Firefighters Out For A Run Rescue Tired Dog Trapped In Near-Freezing River
- Summary A group of firefighters out for a run jumped into action after they spotted a dog trapped in the Seine River, saving the tired animal from the current. The footage showcasing the firefighters' quick-thinking skills was taken by Marie Viers on January 30th at the Seine River, in Paris, France. Whilst out for a morning walk, Marie overheard a commotion and spotted the dog in the river. The owner of the dog had initially begun walking down to rescue her pet before a group of runners intervened. The runners, who turned out to be firefighters from the Paris Brigade, were able to jump into action. Two of the firefighters walked towards the bottom of the river steps and carefully scaled the thin gap to get closer to the dog. They were able to reach the tired dog by the collar and help it back onto dry land, after being stuck in the river for multiple minutes. Typically, in February, the temperature of the Seine River ranges between 4 to 6 °C. Slowly, the firefighters helped the dog up the steps and were able to reunite the fluffy friend with its owner.
