The large awning collapsed onto several houseboats, as captured in CCTV footage from Lindsey’s Resort. A total of six people were rescued, and 22 were safely evacuated by emergency services. The resort announced that the dock that collapsed is their old, original dock, and not their new one. In a statement, the resort says, “Please bear with us as we clean up and start rebuilding. “We will pivot to accommodate our guests. This will slow us down just a little bit but we aren’t defeated.”
