- Summary A pair of penguins was spotted inside a care home, providing some much-needed amusement to staff and residents. The footage showing the playful pair was taken by Lauren Goss on January 15th, inside Eversley Care in Staffordshire, UK. Guests at the care home were encouraged to write things on a wish tree that they wanted to happen in the care home. One resident’s wish was to see penguins, which required extensive research from the care home staff to make it happen. Luckily, they were able to find a company that would bring the penguins to them. Lauren recalls the feeling inside the home whilst the penguins were there, “It was an absolutely brilliant experience; the atmosphere in the home was amazing, and residents were saying it was the best day of their lives. “One man thought he was dreaming when the penguin waddled into his room!”
