- Summary Onlookers were treated to a rare spectacle when a pod of dolphins surfaced alongside a boat sailing through the harbour, leaping dramatically from the water as it passed. Wilma Camp and customers at a jetty bar in Fremantle, Perth, were left in awe on January 1st as a boat cruised past, led by dolphins swimming just ahead of it. As the boat came closer to the bar, the dolphins began to leap high out of the water and were met by huge gasps from the onlookers. Wilma said, “We see dolphins almost every day, but I have never seen them jump like this before.”
