The woman refused to let him see her ID, and when he explained that he would have to take back the whole order, she became hostile. They had a stand-off, with Max stating he was phoning the police as the woman was not cooperating. When the police arrived, they spoke with both parties and agreed that the shopping had to be returned. Eventually, the police officers told Max he was free to leave, so he got in his car and drove off.
