On October 1, Tomas Starbuck was riding through Basingstoke, Hampshire, where he came across the "pointless" bike lane. He decided to record himself cycling into the bike lane, before returning to the road a second later. Tomas said: “Thought it would be funny to go cycle through the bike lane as cyclists are often told to ‘get in the bike lane’ even though cycling on the road is perfectly fine.”
