On December 1st, Gina Birch was taking her friends on a drive through Sanibel Island, Florida, checking out the hurricane recovery, when they noticed the alligator lying down. Suddenly, the animal got up and started hobbling towards the water, causing Gina to notice it only had three legs. After the gator got into the water, a flock of birds took flight in a frenzy, seemingly still afraid of the three-legged animal. Gina said, “We were shocked, felt bad for the guy, but once he made it into the water, he was like new.”
