On June 15, Khairo Tiara was walking through Salt Lake City, Utah, when she noticed a man trying to get her attention as she went to visit a friend. According to Khairo, she ignored the man and continued to walk away. However, when she stopped to catch her breath, she noticed he was allegedly following her and was much closer. She started quickly making her way to her friend’s house, where her friend's older brother was present to let her in the house. The older brother then went outside to confront the man. Khairo said: “My friend was on her way home at that moment, so I wasn’t sure if her, her daughter and her daughter’s father were all going to get back while the guy was still standing in front of the house. “I had to sort of explain and apologise for bringing this unsafe situation to her doorstep.”
