- Title Fearless Three-Year-Old Tackles Huge Glacier In Tiny Homemade Crampons
- Summary A brave toddler took on a challenging hike across a glacier in a viral video that has racked up 3.2 million likes. Her mum, Abbi Hearne, captured the footage of her three-year-old daughter effortlessly hopping along the icy terrain at Glacier View, Alaska, on September 6th. Abbi and her husband were unable to find a pair of crampons that fit their daughter's tiny feet, so they made their own pair using metal spikes and zip-ties. This enabled their daughter to be able to grip the slippery slopes along the glacier. Abbi says he drank the cold water from this exact glacier when she was pregnant with her daughter and brought her back in the hopes she would enjoy hiking as much as she did. She said: "For the first time, she is stable and confident enough on her feet for us to trust her navigating the ice on her own (with close monitoring, of course!) with spikes on her boots. "It was so fun to watch her gain confidence, learn to trust her feet, and learn when it’s too steep for them to grip and fall in love with this landscape on her own."
