According to Maura, a concerned deputy saw them pull over and thought they were in trouble. He allegedly approached the vehicle and asked what was wrong as he laughed with Maura at the situation. Maura said: “The deputy was so kind, and has so much patience to be laughed at afterwards, but it’s amazing what one little bug could do.”
