- Title Crowds Gather To Watch Ox Race In Village
- Summary Hundreds of spectators watched over 20 competitors race oxen as part of a quadrennial event held in the local village. On August 24th, Anna-Katharina Dick cheered on Karl, an ox taking part in the race, in Haunshofen, a village found in Bavaria, Germany As the four finalists raced towards the finish line, Karl took his time, despite his high rankings in the previous three qualification races. Anna-Katharina said: “We are still very proud of him for placing fourth out of over 20 competitors. “No force is used on any oxen and they were compensated with extra feed for their participation.”
