The footage shows her dog, Reece, running around before looking spaced out and struggling to walk. Upon returning to her home, Ashley noticed how her dog had gotten into the trash and caused a mess. She saw how Reece was acting strangely and struggling to walk. Ashley knew her dog had eaten the gummies after looking at her coffee table and realising her sandwich bag containing them had disappeared. She looked at the mess Reece had made whilst she was out, and discovered the sandwich bag on the floor was empty. Looking back on the situation, she said: “I was trying to get her in the car to go to the vet at first. I went back into the house, glanced at the coffee table, and it hit me! “I ran to the trash can where her mess was, and there it was, a torn-up, empty sandwich bag that had 2 gummies in it. "It was in that moment that I decided we would not go to the vet!”
