• Summary Country singer Gavin Adcock paused his set to confront security about handling his dad after there had allegedly been an incident with the sound engineer, in a viral TikTok that garnered 5.7 million views. On July 26, Haley McQuain was at a Rock The South Concert in Anderson, South Carolina, where the altercation took place. In the video, a man can be seen being led away by security as the country star approaches them. The man can be heard shouting about the altercation to Gavin before being moved on as another man talks to the country star. Gavin then says into the mic, "Hey buddy, you're going to lose your god damn job", as the crowd cheers. Haley said: “ He was about to start singing another song and I hear some yelling from my left and it’s a man yelling with event security holding him. "Gavin stops singing to tell the security to let go of his dad, and I turn to see Gavin coming down from the stage to see what's going on. "Apparently, the sound guy yelled at one of Gavin’s guitarists’ mom for setting an empty cup on the soundboard and Gavin's dad didn’t like the way he yelled at a woman. "Gavin is from Georgia like I am and when someone messes with family, that’s just our reaction; people from the south don’t play about family.”
