The footage, captured by Lea-ann Sullivan's CCTV at her home in Stevenage, on September 12th, 2024, shows the police officer, Marcin Zielinski, placing the pink underwear into his back pocket before leaving the room. The footage was released by Lea-ann on the day of the officer's sentencing, August 18th, where he was handed a four-month prison sentence, effective immediately. The police officers arrested Lea-ann Sullivan and took her to Hatfield police station for an allegation that wasn't true, and the outcome was no further action. Following this video, Marcin Zielinski was charged with corrupt/improper exercise of police powers and privileges. Hertfordshire Constabulary Assistant Chief Constable Genna Telfer said: "Zielinski has let down the public of Hertfordshire, the police service as a whole and his former colleagues, who act with professionalism and integrity. "His criminal behaviour damages the reputation of policing and represents a fundamental betrayal of the public and the values for which the police service stands."
