- Title Snake Wrangler Rescues Abandoned 20-Foot Python From Apartment Complex Bin
- Summary A reptile wrangler removed a giant, sick python that was dumped in a bin at an apartment block. Joseph Hart was called to the scene on August 5th in Los Angeles, California, after a distressed woman found the reptile abandoned in the dumpster. When he arrived, he calmly approached the snake and gently spoke to her before wrangling her from the rails. He allowed the snake to reposition herself so she was wrapped around him instead of the bin. Once he removed her from the bin, he noticed she was sick from a mouth infection. Joseph believes this is common in the pet trade, which led him to think she was abandoned due to expensive vet bills. He said: "At first, I was unsure how the snake was going to react. "I’ve met many snakes in my life, and some of this size and species. "Some are very defensive and will bite when approached, a bite from a snake this size is pretty dangerous – this snake has the strength to overpower me."
