- Title Angry Woman Chases 14-Year-Old Down Sidewalk In Her Car Over E-Bike Speed
- Summary A woman was arrested after driving her car down a sidewalk chasing a 14-year-old on an e-bike. The situation occurred on an early evening in June, in Palm Coast, Florida. A Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived shortly after 9pm on June 7th to speak with the aggressor in the situation. The woman, later identified as Julia Kalthof, 65, approached the officer to describe her side of the situation. She proclaimed that she was angry that the teenager was riding “too fast” and that he could have hit her dog with his e-bike. The family of the 14-year-old, Gaige, spoke to the police two days after Julia. Gaige’s Father told the sheriffs that he was going to press charges against the aggressor. Deputies arrived at Julia’s home on June 10th, where she was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and reckless driving. Deputies also issued Kalthof a uniform traffic citation for driving along the multi-use path. Sheriff Rick Staly insisted that her actions could have caused serious injury or death — not just to the teenager, but to anyone nearby. Kalthof was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where she was later released on a $3,000 bond.
