Summary This group of friends were caught in a wild wind storm after hiking up sand dunes in California. Sean Cavanaugh took a trip to Death Valley National Park, where he hiked to the peak of the Eureka Sand Dunes, which are the highest elevation sand dunes in California. Not realising what they were getting into, they were met with a wild wind storm with gusts up to 80mph. Struggling to stand up on the dunes, the trip was made even more spectacular when a fighter het flew over the dunes above them. Sean said: “Definitely one of the wildest experiences of my life but I’m very glad I did it.”
