- Title Woman Discovers ‘Evil Twin’ Is Actually An Ovarian Teratoma
- Summary One woman dubbed her ovarian teratoma her ‘evil twin’ after her doctors discovered the rapid growing cyst that had enveloped her left ovary, with her ordeal reaching 3.6 million views on TikTok. Sally Martin, from Lexington, Kentucky, was told she would need surgery to remove the cyst, which she aptly named her ‘evil twin’. Her surgeon even took photos of the inside of the medical mystery after it was removed from Sally’s ovary, which she then shared with the world. After the successful surgery, the teratoma was sent off to pathology, where it was discovered it actually had cancer within it, as well as hair and even teeth. Once Sally had found out that she was now cancer free, she celebrated by popping some champagne and began to plan a funeral for her teratoma and ovary that was removed the week before. Being held at a local brewery, about 30 people came to celebrate with pizza and cake, with Sally’s sister even reading a handwritten eulogy poem for the ‘evil twin’.
