On July 5, Jesus Rivera from Highland Mills, New York, was left running across his backyard when a whole box of fireworks exploded, thanks to a spark that had found its way inside the box. Within seconds, the entire box ignited, causing a huge explosion and fireworks shooting in all directions, as caught on his CCTV. Jesus said: “My reaction was pure shock. I took off running to get out of the way, not realising how close it all was until I saw the video after. “It was scary in the moment, but we couldn’t stop laughing afterwards. Definitely one of those 'you had to be there' moments!”
