- Summary A photographer was left shocked after capturing a spectacular Northern Lights display in Germany. Volker Klink was in Sankt Peter Ording when he was shooting a night sky timelapse and was surprised by the Northern Lights, which are super rare in Germany. Volker said: “At first I couldn't really tell if they were really northern lights as they are way less spectacular to the naked eye. “But when I interrupted my milky way time lapse to take pics of the northern lights it was clear that they actually were northern lights.”
