Elite Runner Joins Supporters Five Hours After Finishing To Cheer Final Marathon Participants Across The Line
- Title Elite Runner Joins Supporters Five Hours After Finishing To Cheer Final Marathon Participants Across The Line
- Summary After finishing a marathon in under 2 hours and 40 minutes, one marathon runner stayed behind to show his support to those finishing five hours after him. During the Boston Marathon on April 21st, Jonathan Fogell Ladson had finished his run in a staggering time when he decided to wait behind and watch the final runners hours later. With the crowds dwindling, Jonathan believed that the later finishers deserved the same crowd that everyone else got, so he made his way to cheer on the final few. Among the runners was Bill Richard, father of Martin Richard, the youngest victim of the 2013 Boston Marathon tragedy.
