After receiving a call from his dad about the sky, Jonas Blichert, from Aalborg, Denmark, went outside to find a giant white ring around the sun, also known as a sun halo. The phenomenon, known as a sun dog, is an atmospheric optical phenomenon that consists of a bright spot to one or both sides of the sun. He said: “I was totally surprised by this, given I'm not used to crazy things like that happening, it's so beautiful!”
