- Summary A man returning from work was shocked to discover that a cat had found itself stuck inside an apple tree on his property. On April 1st, at his home in Skrīveri, Latvia, Sandis Vladimirovs had his attention drawn to a tree when he heard a silenced meow and a cat's head sticking out of the trunk. Sandis grabbed his ladder and instantly got to work in trying to free the cat from inside the tree. The cat had found itself trapped inside the tree after climbing into it from the bottom and shifting its way through to the top. Giving the cat a small nudge, the animal began to shuffle its way back up the tree to a small gap and it was able to shimmy its way out and set itself free.
