Summary Firefighters of the Rapid City Fire Department in South Dakota joined a trapped fawn in a deep culvert, in an attempt to rescue it. On August 15th, the fire department posted to their Facebook the rescue mission of trying to reunite a young fawn with its mother, after it had found itself trapped in a draining system. Four members of the fire department surrounded the young deer and slowly closed in on it in the hope of not spooking it too much. After closing in on the fawn, one of the members was able to grab the animal and safely place it back onto the field above in the company of its mother.
