- Title Man Opens ‘5 Star’ Ramen Restaurant Only To Serve Instant Noodles In Elaborate Prank
- Summary YouTuber Stanley Chen created an exclusive pop-up restaurant which generated widespread buzz by serving gourmet ramen, from an instant noodle packet. The restaurant was established in Sydney, Australia and was named ‘Nise Ramen’, which translated from Japanese is ‘Fake Ramen’. Through the power of social media, Stanley was able to create some mouthwatering promotional videos which began the buzz. To further build on the hype, Stanley utilised the pull of influencers in the area to promote the opening of the restaurant. On opening night, there was a line that had punters waiting for up to three hours to get a table for the now sought after ramen. Decked out with nature themes, DJs and luxury bowls from plant pot hardware stores, restaurateurs tucked into the noodles. Stanley asked for feedback and was met with amazing comments saying that the food was, ‘home-cooked’, and that it was worth the wait, with another quoting a $50 price tag on the meal. The ramen was completely sold out meaning Stanley had to tell awaiting customers that they were not going to eat, having waited 4 hours in the line.
