Maisie Beth Wallis, from Dorset, recently gave birth to a baby girl who faced withdrawal symptoms from the medication she was taking whilst she was pregnant. After suffering with her mental health since she was a child, Maisie now takes medication for it and when she became pregnant, she was reportedly given two options. The doctors allegedly told her she could stop taking the medication and risk her having a stillbirth or continue taking the medication but the baby could suffer with withdrawal symptoms when born. She had to make the difficult decision and decided to continue with the medication. However, when her baby girl was born, the tot began suffering with withdrawal symptoms from jaundice to shaking. Maisie took to TikTok to share her story and raise awareness of this side effect of taking medication whilst pregnant. Maisie said: “I still hate myself sometimes for putting her through that but I know it was the best decision for us and she is now a healthy seven month old!”
