• Title Dog Walker Suffers Muddy Fail After Falling In River While Retrieving Pooch’s Lead
• Summary A dog walker went flying into a dirty river after she slipped down a muddy hill whilst trying to retrieve her dog lead, in a collection of videos which has amassed 2.9 million views. Alex Cooper and her friend Elly were walking their dogs through the Yorkshire Dales, when Elly accidentally threw her dog lead into the river instead of a stick, on April 8. While attempting to retrieve the lead, Elly climbed down the river bed and slipped in the mud before falling straight into the water, causing Alex to laugh hysterically. As Elly tried to clamber back out again, she kept slipping on the muddy ground and flying to the floor, getting caked in mud. Luckily Elly was eventually able to retrieve the lead and get out of the water. Alex said: “Elly isn’t much of a walker and doesn’t take well to the Yorkshire dales considering living here all of her life! “After the shock of the first attempt, she forgot to get the lead so had to strip down and have another go. “All I could do is laugh my head off and film her as a best friend would, she is still trying to wash the river stench from her hair to this day.”
