- Title Mum Lives In Tent With Her Children In Australian Wilderness
- Summary An Australian mum-of-two has been given an insight into her life, as she has been living in a tent with her children for the past six months. Single mum Lucy Aura currently lives in Kuranda, Queensland, with her two children and is currently living in a tent due to the renting crisis. Lucy shows around her tent, which includes a mini bedroom for her kids, her own bed, a mini kitchen area and a place to store their clothes. Every week, she keeps the tent clean by ensuring she goes to the laundromat to clean their bedding and clothes and ensures that it has been aired out. She also revealed the tarp which protects them from rain as Lucy explained how they tackle cyclone warnings and the protection they have from the wet weather but if things got too bad, they would seek shelter. Lucy said: “We are immersed in nature and spend a lot of time playing and connecting with one another. “I show the inside of our tent which has our altar, the kids playing in their space, we have power and a heater. This space is cosy and comfortable with minimal stuff but enough to meet our needs. “Living in a tent is really comfortable as long as there is a comfortable bed and clean sheets. I use the laundromat every week to clean and dry our clothes and bedding so that the tent is kept really clean and cosy and comfortable. “The threat of a cyclone is looming but I am in total trust as we just got a new tarp structure set up which is giving us extra shelter. The whole place will be destroyed most likely in a cyclone but either way I don’t own much that I am worried about.”
