- Title Creative Cop Catches Car Thieves By Pretending To Be K-9 Unit
- Summary Body cam footage shows the moment a cop outsmarts car thieves by pretending to be the police department’s K-9 unit, by imitating a dogs bark. At 8:25am on August 18th, Pierce County Sheriff's Department, in Washington, responded to a call about a stolen car which led to the very unique arrest of the thieves. The footage shows the moment officers spotted the fleeing culprits with one deputy shouting 'Don’t make us release our K-9', followed by the officer barking trying to impersonate the make-believe dogs. Several barks later, the police were successful in the arrest after the frightened thieves surrendered themselves with one stating: “As soon as I heard that dog, I gave up." A spokesperson for the Pierce County Sheriff Department said: “Awesome job and an A+ for creativity in figuring out a way to get these juvenile car thieves to surrender!”
