- Summary A bank robber was caught by police while exiting a drive-thru ceiling shaft in Ohio Body-worn camera footage, shared by the Huron Police Department, captured the arrest of a bank robber after he had gained entry from the ceiling over the drive-thru. As officers gathered outside the VacationLand Federal Credit Union, on University Drive East, one of them heard suspicious noises emanating from the roof over the drive-through area. They quickly communicated their discovery to another officer and together they observed a blue recycling bin positioned under an access door in the ceiling. Moments passed as they maintained vigilance and then a beam of light shone through the small door, indicating someone's presence. The door swung open and the suspect dropped a backpack to the ground before descending onto the recycling bin below. Simultaneously, the police identified themselves, and the suspect was apprehended. The individual responsible, identified as 27-year-old Tristan J. Heidl, was subsequently charged with breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, and safecracking. He is currently being held at the Erie County Jail with a bond set at $50,000.
