Offshore Workers Throw Food Scraps Into Sea Showing Sharks That Await Below

A viral clip showcased what beasts linger around this offshore site when food waste was chucked overboard, as dozens of ravenous sharks surfaced to polish off the scraps.

The superintendent that captured the footage, Steward Phillips, said in the initial post that the footage shows how jumping into the water would be a last resort.

The bin full of food waste was thrown off the multiple storey-high platform and within seconds of it hitting the water, the creatures from the deep began demolishing the food before the seagull scavengers swooped in.

The now viral clip has racked up over nine million views on TikTok.
