DNA Match Reunites Daughter With Her Father Who Had No Knowledge Of Her Existence
Seraine Danner learned the identity of her biological father through a DNA test, after chasing the names of three potential fathers.
At the age of seven, Seraine learned that the person who she had been calling 'Dad' was not related to her biologically, her mother then gave her the names of three men who could potentially be her biological parent and at 15 years of age, she began to search for her father.
It was only several years ago that Seraine took a DNA test through MyHeritage and found a match with an unknown name, who was later identified as a cousin on her father's side.
Seraine contacted them and then queried the potential identity of her father and at that point, he was successfully recognised.
In 2020, Seraine travelled from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin to meet up with her father, Vince Lipski, where the two began a new chapter of their life after having no clue about one another's existence for decades.
Seraine said: "My birth father, he’s just the sweetest person. And you know, I think taking the time to talk with him and get to know him, I literally couldn’t ask to find a better birth father. He’s just such a nice guy.
"I was afraid that once I would find him, he’d be, like, a bad person or something, but really he’s one of the sweetest people ever, and he’s been through a lot. He’s just so excited to get to know me and everything. He’s like, 'I actually have my own daughter now!'"
