Summary Marc Leger was riding his mountain bike when he rounded a bend and nearly collided with a black bear. Whistler, British Columbia, is home to many black bears and Marc was lucky to meet a more timid beast. As he sped down the trail and flew past the trees into an opening in the forest, Marc came to a screeching halt as he saw a bear passing through. Marc was quick to turn around and give the bear enough space so that it felt there was no danger.
